Volunteer: Community & Small-Scale Fundraising EventsCommunity & Small-Scale Fundraising Events Position Overview Our Special Events and Fundraising volunteers are on the frontlines of this important work, helping us raise critical funds to ultimately extinguish arthritis. We host both major fundraising events and smaller community-based fundraising opportunities throughout the year. This page highlights our Community and Smaller-Scale Fundraising opportunities only—typically one-time or short-term opportunities that arise throughout the year and are open for you to apply to here. Major Events (such as Fashion on Fire, Fireball, All-In for Arthritis) each have their own dedicated application pages. Time Commitment Shifts may vary depending on the event, but typically range from 4 to 8 hours, with some flexibility. Additional orientation and training will be provided prior to the event. Common volunteer roles for our Community and Small-Scale events include greeters and floaters, registration and welcome table assistants, sales processing, table hosts, and setup or takedown. Roles may vary depending on the specific needs of each event. Desired Skills, Attributes & Qualifications Enthusiasm for community events and supporting a great cause. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive mindset to assist where needed. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Physical ability to assist with event setup or standing for extended periods.
