Position Overview
Arthritis Society Canada is looking for volunteers living with arthritis to join our Online Consumer Panel.
Online Consumer Panelists are members of our volunteer community who live with at least one form of arthritis, who provide feedback on the development of Arthritis Society Canada’s educational resources and activities. This feedback is used to help shape the information and resources Arthritis Society Canada creates to ensure programs and resources respond to the needs of people living with arthritis across Canada.
Online Consumer Panelists will be asked to respond to emails, online surveys, and participate in optional online focus groups over video conferencing software, such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Panelists can expect to be contacted by email an average of 6 to 12 times a year.
Panelists will:
• Participate and respond to requests for feedback in a timely fashion when contacted
• Demonstrate preparedness by reviewing all materials that have been circulated
• Review and provide input on resources and activities proposed or developed by Arthritis Society Canada
• Actively provide constructive input and draw upon knowledge and experience to provide informed feedback on the prioritization and development of existing and new educational resources and activities
• Be appointed for a term of one year with the option to re-apply for future years
Who Can Join
To join, volunteers must be 18+, live in Canada, and have arthritis. While open to anyone living with arthritis, the panels often receive requests for feedback from people with experience relating to:
• Osteoarthritis
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Axial spondyloarthritis
• Psoriatic arthritis
• Young adulthood (ages 18-35)
Major Contacts
An Arthritis Society Canada staff member will manage communication with panel members

Online Consumer Panelists may be eligible for an honorarium at the end of their one-year term.
